The 21st edition of EcoFlor meeting is organised by FLOWer Lab, a research group of the Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet, and Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra, Portugal.

Additional researchers from different institutions and actively involved in EcoFor dynamics are collaborating in the organisation, sharing their invaluable experience with previous meetings. Additionally, several researchers (to be announced) will be involved in the organisation of the workshops.

Organisation

The FLOWer Lab is a research group focused on studying plant diversification and sympatric speciation through polyploidisation processes and on plant-pollinator interactions that generate the current diversity patterns in flowering plants. In applied science, FLOWer Lab explores pollination as an ecosystem service critical to the sustainability of agroecosystems and is involved in developing the Action Plant for pollinator conservation in Portugal. The group has also been involved in biodiversity conservation, through studies of reproductive biology, ecology and in situ and ex situ conservation of endangered species and valuing endogenous genetic resources.
